Florence to Hold Christmas Tree Lighting on December 1

The City of Florence will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting on Tuesday, December 1 from 6-8pm at the Florence Government Center.

The free event, held rain or shine, will include Christmas activities conducted by businesses and organizations, Christmas music performed by the Florence Community Band and Florence Community Chorus, Christmas trees decorated by elementary students, photographs with Santa Claus (please bring a camera), refreshments, sleigh rides to view lighted displays, and much more.

Businesses or organizations interested in being a sponsor or hosting a station can go to www.florence-ky.gov and download a form.

To help support United Ministries, the city is asking vistors to bring a canned good to the event and place it inside the United Ministries barrel located in the main lobby of the Government Center.
