Skyward Launches New Resource for NKY Business Owners
Northern Kentucky business owners will soon have a new outlet for supporting growth. The NKY Startup Resource, which launched November 17, will help local entrepreneurs navigate the landscape of organizations providing business assistance in Northern Kentucky.
Launched yesterday to kick off Global Entrepreneurship Week, the online tool is the latest initiative of Skyward, the driving force behind myNKY, the five-year strategic plan for Northern Kentucky.
“In order to compete against peer regions, our entrepreneurial environment has to be one comprised of tools and resources that help businesses succeed,” said Skyward President Bill Scheyer. “Our goal is for The NKY Startup Resource to be a one-stop resource convening all of the needed information for start-ups, innovators, and small businesses.”
Upon arriving at NKYStartupResource.org, visitors will be prompted to make a selection based on their businesses stage. Depending on the selection, they will then be presented with a variety of resources for areas where they might need help such as funding, finding office space, and business planning, among others. Whether innovators have an idea, they’re just launching a business, or they just need help taking their model to the next level, the site has been designed to help determine what resources might best assist them with their needs.
"One of the key focus areas of the myNKYJobs goal is cultivating an environment in Northern Kentucky that facilitates innovation, entrepreneurial success, and business expansion," Scheyer added. "Launching the NKY Startup Resource is just one of the ways in which we are working to accomplish that goal."
The NKY Startup Resource is powered by Skyward, in partnership with Kentucky Innovation Network, UpTech, BLDG, and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. To learn more, visit www.nkystartupresource.org.
