New Traffic Lights Coming to Taylor Mill
New traffic lights are coming to Wayman Branch and Honey Drive in Taylor Mill.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has completed a traffic study along the new Pride Parkway (KY 16) and determined that criteria for a traffic signal have been met at two of its intersections – Wayman Branch Road/Taylor Mill Road and Honey Drive.
KYTC will be installing the signal at Wayman Branch Road within the next two months. Orange barrels will remain until the signal is in place and timed appropriately.
KYTC will work with the City of Taylor Mill on installation of a signal at Honey Drive that will be in keeping with aesthetics of the northern portion of the corridor. It will take longer to complete, according to a news release.
The speed limit along the KY 16-Pride Parkway will remain at 45 MPH.
The cost of design, right of way, utilities and construction of all three sections is $79.2 million.
