TMC's Moss Named PAC Player of the Week
Thomas More College senior guard/forward Sydney Moss has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office.
This is the fourth week Moss has earned the honor this season and 17th time overall as she earned the honor eight times during the 2013-14 season and five during the 2014-15 campaign. She is third on the PAC all-time scoring list with 2,018 points and only trails Thiel College’s Tricia Kosenmina (2,086) and Washington & Jefferson College’s Leigh Sulkowski (2,034).
Moss helped the top-ranked Saints remain undefeated as they posted a pair of PAC road wins last week. She averaged 26.0 points, 6.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game while committing just one turnover in a combined 58 minutes of game action. In Wednesday's win over Geneva College, Moss finished with 27 points and five steals. On Saturday against second-place W&J, she posted her fifth double-double of the season, totaling 25 points and 10 rebounds to go along with eight assists.
Moss and the Saints return to action tonight when they travel to Portsmouth, Ohio to play Shawnee State University, who is ranked No. 7 in the NAIA Division I poll. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m. at the Frank & Janis Waller Gymnasium.
