Local Couple Honored with Community Service Award
Last week, Villa Madonna Academy presented Oakley and Eva Farris with the first annual Benedictine Award for Generosity and Community Service.
The award was presented to Farris by Villa Madonna Principal Principal Pamela McQueen during an all-school assembly.
"I'm not a philanthropist, I'm an investor. Eva and I invest in the people of Northern Kentucky and we expect to see a return on that investment. We believe they can accomplish great things," Farris told those in attendance.
McQueen said she believes Farris' story will inspire students to give back to the community when they're successful adults.
