TMC's Armstrong Named to Prestigious Advisory Board
Thomas More College President David A. Armstrong, J.D. has been named to the Advisory Board for Stetson University’s Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy. Armstrong has been a speaker at the Center’s annual National Conference on Higher Education Law and Policy since 2010.
“When I found myself and my former institution at the confluence of Clery, Campus Safety and Title IX, the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy helped me to navigate the unchartered territory,” Armstrong said. “I am forever indebted to them. It has become my passion to make sure no other administration ever finds itself in that position.”
Founded in 2004, the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy provides a unique resource for both attorneys and non-attorneys alike in advancing a better understanding of the ever-changing realm of higher education.
“David Armstrong has been one of the most important figures in our Center’s history,“ said Peter Lake, Director of the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy. “Dave is a true inter-disciplinary leader—a scholar, president, coach and lawyer.”
Armstrong was appointed to the Advisory Board on February 14.
