Candidate Forums: Covington, Park Hills, Taylor Mill

There are a few chances to see the candidates running for office in Covington, Park Hills, and Taylor Mill in the coming days. 


Covington Business Council - Mayoral Forum

Mayor Sherry Carran and challenger Joe Meyer will appear together at the Covington Business Council and Latonia Business Association forum on Thursday, October 13 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Event Center. WKRC-TV's Dan Hurley will moderate.

Covington Neighborhood Collaborative Forums

Candidates for mayor and city commission will appear at two events sponsored by the Covington Neighborhood Collaborative, the Center for Great Neighborhoods, Friends of Covington, the Latonia Business Association, and the Mainstrasse Village Association.

The mayoral candidates will face off on Monday, October 17, at the Life Learning Center (20 West 18th Street), with a meet and greet at 6 p.m. and a moderated forum from 7 to 9 p.m.

The seven city commission candidates will participate in a forum on Monday, October 24 at the same place with a meet and greet at 6 p.m. and a moderated forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

9th Street Baptist

This Covington church is  expected to host forums for mayor, commission, and board of education. Those details have not been submitted to RCN yet but will be posted when they are.


Meet the Candidates

Those running for Park Hills city council are expected to take part in a meet and greet at Reality Tuesday coffee shop (1518 Dixie Highway) on Saturday, October 15, with candidate introductions from 9 to 10 a.m. and a meet and greet from 10 to 11 a.m.


Candidate forum at Knuk & Futz

The popular wings restaurant will host a town hall-style candidates forum on Monday, October 17 at 7 p.m. All questions will come from Taylor Mill citizens, according to the announcement. Knuk & Futz is at 5468 Taylor Mill Road.
