Attorney General: Selfies with Ballots OK
Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear issued an opinion on Friday that says it is OK for voters to take a selfie with their ballots.
Media reports recently had conflicting narratives about whether taking pictures one's self inside a voting booth with a ballot were legal. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes asked Beshear for an official opinion.
Terry Payne, an assistant attorney general, wrote in the opinion that voters should not publish identities of other voters as that would in fact be a violation of state law.
