Delish Dish Expands in Covington with New Incubator Kitchen for Food Entrepreneurs

The Delish Dish Catering & Events has signed a long-term lease with CovWorx LLC for the 5,000 sq. ft. kitchen space at 1032 Madison Avenue in Covington. The lease allows The Delish Dish to expand its current catering business and launch a new kitchen incubator, Kickstart Kitchen.

CovWorx recently acquired the space formerly used by Senior Services of Northern Kentucky.

After the Northern Kentucky Incubator Kitchen (NKYIK) moved from Covington to Newport, the City of Covington wanted to draw food entrepreneurs back to the city, said Mavis Linnemann-Clark, owner of The Delish Dish. With the signing of her lease, Linnemann-Clark saw a way give back to the community and help fellow food entrepreneurs in need of space to launch and grow their businesses.

Kickstart Kitchen plans to help local food entrepreneurs by offering business and kitchen incubator services in a one-stop shop.

Not only will Kickstart Kitchen offer hourly commercial kitchen rental, it will also offer complimentary on-site branding and marketing, recipe development, business development, and financial planning with the help of local nonprofit organizations, SCORE Cincinnati and the Hail US Bank College of Business Small Business Development Center (NKU SBDC).

After launching her businesses at the NKYIK, Linnemann-Clark realized she needed additional business management services to help with her day-to-day operations as she continued to grow her business.  To this day, mentors at SCORE and the NKU SBDC continue to assist Linnemann-Clark with financial, marketing, and business consulting. She wanted to offer those resources to budding food entrepreneurs who need them most when they first launch their businesses.

Linnemann-Clark is the owner and proprietor of The Delish Dish, Made by Mavis Artisan Jams, and Kickstart Kitchen.  Linnemann-Clark is a graduate of Syracuse University and highly regarded Kendall College Culinary School in Chicago. She launched The Delish Dish in 2012 and has grown the company from a one-woman operation to a full-service catering company with 8 full-time and 30 part-time employees.  

She currently has a monthly cooking segment on WXIX-TV. A few of her awards include:
