TANK Wins Statewide Honor
The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) won a big honor at a state conference last month.
The Kentucky Public Transit Association convenes every two years in Lexington for the statewide conference. Part of the conference includes an awards ceremony where both KPTA and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) highlight outstanding achievements in public transportation.
At the recent conference, held in August, TANK was awarded the Statewide Overall Transit System Award for 2016-2017. During the program, it was noted that TANK cares about its customers, uses technology to improve the transit system, that the agency listens to the needs of our community, maintains an outstanding fleet of buses, and is committed to continuous improvement.
“This award is a reflection of the outstanding work that staff does each day and their commitment to TANK’s core values of Customer Service, Professionalism, Respect for the Individual and Open Communication,” stated board chair, Tim Donoghue. “The TANK Board is proud to receive this award and recognition from KPTA.”
