Legendary Country Band Alabama to Play in Highland Heights
Legendary country music group Alabama is coming to Highland Heights to play at BB&T Arena at Northern Kentucky University.
The arena announced the concert Friday. It is set for Friday, May 11 at 7:30 p.m.
Alabama dominated the country charts in the 1980s and 1990s, scoring 43 number-one singles, including a record 21 in a row. They have sold 73 million albums.
Alabama was honored with the Academy of Country Music (ACM) Career Achievement Award at the Ryman Auditorium in the fall of 2015 and won Album of the Year honors at the 2015 Dove Awards for Angels Among Us: Hymns & Gospel Favorites.
Alabama will be joined by Montgomery Gentry. Troy Gentry, half of that popular duo died in a helicopter crash last year.
