Norse Drain 11 Threes in Picking Up Third Straight Win
Twelve games into the Horizon League season, Northern Kentucky has ten wins against conference foes including three straight overall and six in a row on the road.
The Norse beat Cleveland State for the second time this season, 78 to 61, to improve to 17-7 overall and 10-2 in the conference.
Lavone Holland II led all scorers with 21 points while Drew McDonald added 19 for the Norse. Mason Faulkner put in 14 on 5-of-5 shooting, including three 3-pointers.
Tyler Sharpe scored 12 and Carson Williams had 6 points and a season-high 11 rebounds.
The Norse used sharp shooting to build a lead late in the first half, going on a 10 to 0 run that put them up by 22. Cleveland State (6-19, 3-9) never got the lead down to single digits.
NKU hit 11 of 19 three-point attempts and shot 55 percent overall in the win.

NKU women beat Milwaukee
The NKU women used a barrage of three-pointers to pick up a win over Milwaukee.
The Norse won 60 to 57 and improve to 6-17 on the season and 4-8 in the Horizon League. Milwaukee dropped to 17-7 and 8-4.
Molly Glick led Northern Kentucky with 15 points while Kailey Coffey added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jazmyne Geist scored a career-high 12 and Mikayla Terry added 10.
Next up for the Norse is a Thursday night date with Oakland at BB&T Arena. Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.
