Grateful Life Center Awarded $200,000
$200,000 was awarded to the Kenton County Fiscal Court for the Transitions Grateful Life Center in Erlanger.
The funds come from Kentucky's Department for Local Government (DLG), which distributed federal community development block (CDBG) monies.
The money will support ongoing substance abuse and recovery programs at the center.
“Recovery centers serve as an integral part of communities coping with addiction all across the Commonwealth,” said DLG Commissioner Sandra Dunahoo. “These funds help to ensure continual staff support and ongoing recovery programs for men seeking assistance and treatment.”
The Transitions Grateful Life Center programs include peer support, daily living skills training, job responsibilities, and challenges to practice sober living.
“With an addiction epidemic affecting lives across the Commonwealth, organizations such as the Transitions Grateful Life Center are crucial to the successful recovery of those affected by substance abuse,” said Senator Chris McDaniel (R-Taylor Mill). “I know these funds will be well-utilized by the center, and I thank the organization for its positive impact on these men and their families in Northern Kentucky.”
