Photos: Props from Ted Bundy Movie Sold in Newport
The big Hollywood stars like Zac Efron, John Malkovich, and Jim Parsons have left town, and principal photography is finished in Northern Kentucky for the film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, the biopic about 1970s serial killer Ted Bundy.
Efron was seen all over Northern Kentucky, posing as Bundy for scenes shot in Newport, Covington, Williamstown, and elsewhere.
On Saturday, parts of the film returned to people's minds as props were put up for sale in Newport.
Folks lined up outside 706 York Street to get a glimpse - and maybe purchase - pieces used during the Extremely Wicked shoot.
Some of the items were large, like the chalkboard used in the courtroom scene (shot at the U.S. Post Office in Covington, which was once also a federal courthouse), and smaller, like tape dispensers and a type writer.
The Volkswagen Beetle - a car used by Bundy during two different deadly periods - was also featured in the film. One such car was on display in Newport on Saturday, but not fore sale. However, visitors were allowed to take photos while sitting in it.
RCN's Brian Frey stopped by and snapped these photographs.
