Salvation Army Begins 'Say Yes!' Campaign and Announces 'Donut Dash 5k'

The Salvation Army is seeking generous donations during its Summer Giving Campaign, titled Say Yes!.
Proceeds from the campaign will help fund the organization's summer efforts such as sending kids in need to Camp Swoneky - The Salvation Army's summer camp for disadvantaged children located in Oregonia, Ohio. Donations will also be used to fund local day-camps, meals, and recreational activities for any kids in need while school is out. Those wishing to donate can find the iconic Salvation Army Red Kettles in select Kroger stores Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays throughout July. Patrons can also always donate online.
Additionally, prominent Covington businessman, philanthropist, and long-time northern Kentucky educational program supporter Oakley Farris is offering a generous 1:3 match to all contributions received by the organization during this summer fundraising campaign. Farris's matching donation will allow The Salvation Army to provide better summer experiences to more northern Kentucky children in need through its various summer programs.
