Arrested: Man Accused in Covington Shooting that Left Victim Paralyzed
The man accused in a Covington shooting that left a man paralyzed last week is now behind bars.
She'mar Michael-Shave Herrick, 31, was arrested Thursday. He is charged with first degree assault and is being held at the Kenton County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
A man was shot last Thursday on the 100 block of West Tenth Street. Police said the victim was shot in the back while attempting to buy marijuana. The shooting left the victim, Raekwan Sterling, paralyzed.
Covington Police identified Herrick as the suspect last Friday.
He will be arraigned in Kenton District Court on Friday, September 14.
