Woman Killed in AA Highway Crash, Police Seek Information About Car that Left Scene
A woman was killed in a crash near the intersection of AA Highway and Licking Pike in Cold Spring on Thursday afternoon.
It happened at around 2:40 p.m.
Witnesses told Cold Spring Police that traffic came to a rapid stop and that a red Honda sedan headed south on AA Highway in the left lane appeared to swerve to the left, likely to avoid a collision with the stopped cars. The Honda crossed the raised median and went into the northbound lanes where it was struck on the right side by a white Ford couple traveling north.
The woman who was killed was behind the wheel of the Honda.
Two adults and a child in the Ford were taken to local hospitals.
Witnesses also told police that a gray or silver Honda stopped at the scene to check on the occupants of the two vehicles but left the scene before police arrived.
Cold Spring Police are asking for help from the public in locating that gray or silver Honda so that investigators can talk to them about what they observed.
Contact police with any information.
The victims names have not yet been released.
