Erlanger-Elsmere Schools Locked Down While Police Pursue Suspect
A man fled from police forcing Erlanger-Elsmere Schools to secure in place on Tuesday, delaying dismissal.
The Erlanger Community Crime Team was investigating Quintin Snyder, 22, of Elsmere, when the suspect fled on foot.
No threat was made to the schools but as a precaution, the school district was notified of the situation. "Since we have a large number of students walking home and being picked up at 3:00 p.m. we were advised by local law enforcement to go into secure in place and hold dismissal," the district stated in a message to families. "Please know that we always work in conjunction with our local authorities to make these decisions and that student safety is always our top priority."
Erlanger Police K9 Asco conducted a brief search before the pursuit was called off.
Snyder is still on the loose.
He faces charges of burglary, possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, fleeing, and evading arrest.
Call police if you see him.
