Six Pounds of Liquid Heroin, Four Pounds of Cocaine Found in Local Shipment
Six pounds of liquid heroin and four pounds of cocaine were found at a local express consignment facility, U.S. Customers and Border Patrol reported.
The discovery of both drug shipments happened on October 11. Government officials announced the discovery this week.
The liquid heroin was hidden a box marked as "massage oil", and inside, officers found six shampoo bottles full of a dark brown liquid. That liquid later tested positive for heroin.
The shipment originated in Morelos, Mexico and was set to be shipped to a residence in The Bronx, New York.
Meanwhile, four shipments of cocaine, each weighing over four pounds, arrived at the same local facility from various Central American countries. They were to be sent to individuals in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York.
“These types of seizures exemplify our officers’ dedication to the CBP mission of intercepting dangerous and illegal narcotics,” said Joshua Shorr, Cincinnati Port Director. “I commend our officers and specialists for the work they do every day to make our communities safer.”
