NKU Improves to 3-0 with Rout of Division III Wabash
Northern Kentucky had no trouble on Sunday night, beating Wabash, 99-59 at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights.
Zaynah Robinson led the Norse over their Division III rival with 16 points. Tyler Sharpe added 15, while Jalen Tate put in 11. Two other Norse players scored in double figures, with Trevon Faulkner scoring 11 and Drew McDonald adding 10.
NKU fell behind early, 9-2, but closed the first half outscoring Wabash 56-17 the rest of the first half, to lead by 32 at halftime.
The Norse bench added 38 points in the win and the defense held Wabash to 32 percent shooting from the field.
NKU is back on the court Friday for the start of a weekend-long tournament, the KEMI Northern Kentucky Basketball Classic, which includes UNC-Asheville, Manhattan, and Coastal Carolina at BB&T Arena.
