Some Lime Scooters Recalled Over Fears of Breaking in Half
One of the companies behind the new scooters popping up around Cincinnati, Covington, Newport, and Bellevue is recalling a model that could break in half.
Lime Scooter announced that it was looking into reports that scooters manufactured by a company called Okai could easily break apart while riding. The company issued a global recall.
The company did not identify the number of scooters affected.
Lime and Bird scooters arrived in urban areas around the nation and here locally earlier this year.
The companies typically show up unannounced.
The scooters are operated via a mobile app.
