Boone Arboretum Seeks Help from Arborists After Ice Storm Damage
The Boone County Arboretum suffered "significant damage" from Thursday's ice storm that hit Northern Kentucky.
The Union-based operation said in a Facebook post that its paths are clear but, "it will take a while to get all of the loose branches removed."
The arboretum is asking for help from certified arborists in the area to donate time in the coming months. "It is important for our specimens to have good structural form but we do not have the staffing needed to perform corrective pruning on anything other than smaller trees," the post said.
