Lt. Gov. to Swear in Erlanger's New Mayor, Council
Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jenean Hampton will swear in Erlanger's new mayor and council on Tuesday, December 18.
Jessica Fette, currently a member of city council, was elected the city's first female mayor in November.
“I am honored to have been chosen by my neighbors in Erlanger to lead our city into a four-year term with the principals of cooperation, compassion and respect,” said Mayor-Elect Jessica Fette. “Erlanger has needed a voice to inspire others to get involved in their community.”
The event is set for 7 p.m. at the Erlanger City Building (505 Commonwealth Ave.).
“Lt. Gov. Hampton has been a shining example of how good leaders operate," Fette said. "She’s made a career of questioning the status quo and we are honored to have her swearing in our elected officials.”
Fette defeated fellow council member Randy Blankenship in November's election to become the first woman to hold the post of mayor in the city's more than 100-year history.
The event is open to the public.
Remarks by the newly elected officials will be followed for members of the public in attendance.
