Northern Kentucky Chamber to Host Employer Best Practices Symposium: Be the Change in Your Organization
Fort Mitchell, KY– On Tuesday, February 19, the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) will host Employer Best Practices Symposium: Be the Change in Your Organization at the Boone County Enrichment Center(1824 Patrick Drive, Burlington, KY 41005).
The symposium, which runs from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., will bring business leaders together to share best practices for our region’s biggest workforce challenges. Through a series of targeted table discussions, attendees will learn how employers are tackling some of the most pressing issues confronting area businesses. Topics will range from effective onboarding processes and new compensation models to tackling transportation barriers and workforce coaching.
“Workforce is one of the biggest challenges we face as a region and our members are looking for resources to help them attract and retain talent to support and grow their businesses. According to KY SHRM Council, 84% of Kentucky employers cannot find the talent they need and 81% projected moderate to high growth in the next three to five years,” said Leisa Mulcahy, Vice President of Workforce. “The Employer Best Practices Symposium is a means to connect business leaders in the region to subject matter experts that can help their businesses thrive through better HR practices as well as business processes and productivity, to attract and retain the manpower needed.”
Candace McGraw, CEO of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, will deliver the morning keynote, discussing the challenges she’s encountered as a change agent, and sharing her key lessons learned.
“We feel so fortunate that Candace will be opening our meeting because she has done such a fantastic job of leading change at our airport,” said Dr. Vicki Berling, co-chair of the Workforce Development Committee and Director of Professional Development at the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky. “This symposium will provide leaders from businesses of all sizes with practical, tangible ideas to address their most pressing business challenges.”
The symposium is ideal for small business owners, operations and human resource professionals, and C-suite leaders from all types of organizations.
