Northern Kentucky Wins Third Straight Game, Tops Cleveland State, 91-76
The Northern Kentucky Norse picked up their third straight win on Thursday night, 91-76 at Cleveland State.
NKU is now 15-4 on the season and 5-1 in the Horizon League.
Tyler Sharpe led the Norse with 23 points, hitting 7 of his 9 shot attempts, including 5 of 6 from three-point range.
Drew McDonald scored 19 and grabbed 15 rebounds to with 6 assists. The game marked McDonald's tenth double-double of the season. NKU is unbeaten in 11 games when a player achieves a double-double.
Zaynah Robinson and Jalen Tate each added 17 points.
The Norse were comfortable in front for more of the game, pushing their lead to 20 with just over eight minutes left to play.
Next up for NKU is a trip to Youngstown State on Saturday at 1 p.m., an earlier tip than previously announced due to pending winter storms in the region.
