Northern Kentucky Cruises Past Green Bay, Remains on Top of Horizon League
Northern Kentucky blew past Green Bay on Thursday night, 87-65 at BB&T Arena in Highland Heights.
Chris Vogt had a career-night in points, rebounds, and assists. He scored 20, grabbed 14 rebounds, with three blocks and three assists.
Dantez Walton added 17 points, while Tyler Sharpe scored 14, Jalen Tate had 12, and Drew McDonald scored 11.
After the Norse opened up a lead well into the second half, Green Bay started to claw back, cutting that lead to 9 late in the half.
But NKU then outscored the Phoenix 21-8 over the final six minutes to put it out of reach.
The win improves NKU's season record to 17-4, and 7-1 in the Horizon League where the Norse are now up by two games over three teams tied for second place at 5-3.
Additionally, the win marked the Norse's sixteenth straight at BB&T Arena. NKU is 12-0 there this season.
NKU is back in action on Saturday with a home game against Milwaukee (9-12, 4-4) at 7 p.m.
