Man Charged After Confessing to Sex with Teen Boy
An Erlanger man was arrested Sunday on charges of sodomizing a 14-year old boy in Burlington.
Edward Hernandez, 21, is charged with ten counts of first degree sodomy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, Hernandez is suspected of performing oral sex on the boy ten times over a one-year period. The sheriff's department said that Hernandez had a relationship with the alleged victim's parents. The sexual acts were discovered on Sunday morning.
Hernandez reportedly arrived at the alleged victim's home drunk and performed oral sex on the boy.
According to the sheriff's office, Hernandez offered a full confession when questioned about Sunday. He also confessed to nine additional acts over the past year involving the same boy, investigators said.
While searching Hernandez's backpack, deputies said they found a glass pipe with marijuana residue.
Hernandez was also originally charged with second degree burglary but that charge was withdrawn prior to arraignment in Boone District Court after investigators later found exculpatory evidence.
Hernandez is being held at the Boone County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
