Woman Killed by Train in Dayton
A 73-year old woman was killed Monday morning by a train passing through Dayton.
Dayton Police Chief David Halfhill said in a news release that the train was traveling east towards the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Benham Street at around 8:40 a.m. when it struck Elsa Hall.
Hall died from her injuries.
According to Halfhill, Hall was suffering from dementia and wandered away from her home.
The train was traveling between 20 and 25 miles per hour when it struck Hall.
Police do not suspect foul play in Hall's death.
