Bromley Man Arrested, Accused of Stealing 33 Truck Batteries
A Bromley man was arrested this week after Boone County Sheriff's deputies accused him of stealing dozens of truck batteries in Florence.
Harold Deck, 49, is charged with three counts of theft by unlawful taking (contents from a vehicle worth under $10,000). That charge is a class D felony in Kentucky.
The alleged thefts took place at George's Truck Center in Florence.
According to the sheriff's office, Deck became a suspect shortly after the thefts were reported.
Deck was located on a traffic stop and asked to come to the sheriff's office to be interviewed. He agreed, and according to deputies, provided a full confession to stealing a total of 33 truck batteries from George's Truck Center over the course of three days.
Deck was also charged with a probation violation stemming from a 2015 case.
