Indiana Football Standout, Thomas More Recruit, Dies in Crash
Brett Fox, 18, was killed in a Thursday morning crash on State Route 1 in Dearborn Co., In.
He was a standout football player at East Central High School and committed to play at Thomas More University next season.
According to Eagle Country Online, Fox's 2004 Dodge pickup truck struck a patch of ice before overturning and striking a tree and utility pole.
Earlier this week, Fox announced his commitment to Thomas More.
"Brett was not only a great football player, but more importantly was a great young man," Thomas More football coach Trevor Stellman said in a statement. "We knew that Brett was not only destined for a great career here at Thomas More, but that he was going to do great things after his time at TMU."
