Maslow's Army Assisting with Homeless Population as Cold Returns
The dramatic drop in temperatures has returned attention to the vulnerable homeless population in our region.
Charitable organization Maslow's Army announced Sunday that it would work through Wednesday to ensure that homeless individuals are off the street and indoors.
Maslow's Army asked for the public's assistance in locating un-sheltered individuals. They ask that you call 859.491.ARMY.
The bus shuttle is not a taxi service and will only transport individuals to one of three shelters in the region, including the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky in Covington.
The shuttle will also double as a warming station for those unwilling to go to a shelter.
There will be coats, gloves, blankets, hats, and non-perishable food and bottled water available.
The bus can also accommodate wheelchairs, up to two at a time.
It will be in operation each day this week through Wednesday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
