New Erlanger Dunkin' to Be First "Next Generation" Store in Cincinnati Area

The art of dunkin’ is nothing new in basketball-crazed Kentucky.

Dunkin’ Donuts, which shortened its name to Dunkin’ in September 2018, is opening its first “Next Generation” location in the Cincinnati market at 3163 Dixie Highway in Erlanger.

That’s the former site of Tim Hortons. Before that, it was Long John Silver’s.

So what is the “Next Gen” concept?

“Next Gen is Dunkin's new modern design, faster than ever drive-thru experience, Premium Pours and increased energy efficiency,” said Julea Schuh, Dunkin’s Northern Kentucky media representative.

“The closest one to this market is the one we just opened in Dayton (Ohio) at our Far Hills location,” she added.

The Dixie Highway Dunkin’ will have drive-thru with a new Digital Menu Board. The dining room will have 14 seats.

“We are hoping to open some time the first full week of April, but that may change based on the construction timetable,” Schuh said.

The new Erlanger location is accepting job applications through the Dunkin’ Brands website. Use the other Erlanger address (508 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger) as the requested location. Visit this website:

The other Dunkin' location in Erlanger on Commonwealth Ave. will remain open, a spokesperson told The River City News.
