Pavement Work Planned at US 27, 471, Moock Road
Work will begin next week on a pavement rehabilitation project at the U.S. 27 (Alexandria Pike) and Interstate 471 interchage near Moock Road in Southgate.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that crews will begin work on replacing aging concrete with new asphalt on Monday.
“We are excited to address the deteriorated pavement at the U.S. 27 and I-471 interchange,” said Bob Yeager, chief district engineer for KYTC District 6. “This will improve the commute for the residents and motorists who live and travel within this area.”
The project will require lane closures and weekend ramp closures. There will also be a closure on Moock Road (KY 1632) at U.S. 27. Message boards will be in place to notify the public of the closures once dates are confirmed. Lane closures will be in place starting the week of April 8.
The project has an October 2019 completion date.
The Hebron-based Harper Company was awarded the project with its low bid of $1.8 million.
