Man Arrested Months After Burlington Crash Injured Five
A man faces multiple charges months after a two-car crash at Burlington Pike and McGrath Lane in Burlington.
Lawrence Giovanni, 47, of Hebron, was arrested Monday by Boone County Sheriff's deputies.
Giovanni was indicted by a Boone County grand jury on charges of second degree assault, three counts of first degree wanton endangerment, and driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
On October 13, 2018, Giovanni is accused of driving a BMW in excess of 100 miles per hour when he collided with another vehicle at the Burlington intersection.
He and his three passengers, as well as the driver from the other vehicle were all transported to either University Hospital or Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Giovanni and the other driver, whose name was not released, were transported via helicopter.
Giovanni was released from the Boone County Detention Center after posting bond.
