Independence Man Accused of Trying to Meet Underage Person for Sex
An Independence man was arrested on Wednesday, accused of truing to meet an underage person for sex.
Taeylor Lee Enzweiler is charged with prohibited use of an electronic communications system to procure a minor/peace officer.
The Kenton County Police, in a news release, said the arrest was the result of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.
The police said that a detective started the investigation after obtaining information from a social networking platform.
The department did not identify the platform or provide details on the underage person or where the arrest took place.
The charge Enzweiler faces is a felony, punishable by one to five years in prison. He was released from the Kenton County Detention Center on Thursday afternoon. Enzweiler is scheduled to appear in Kenton District Court on Wednesday, May 8, at 1:30 p.m., according to jail records.
