Photos: Rat Races Return to Covington Turners for Ludlow Derby

The annual Ludlow Derby returned to Covington Turners on Friday night.
Also known as the rat races, the yearly celebration of racing mice - and political incorrectness - drew hundreds to the Turners' Pike Street building.
The Ludlow Derby occurs the night before the Kentucky Derby, with far less prestige but a trademark sense of trashiness in which mice named for current events or troubled celebrities race against each other to thrill and shouts of bettors.
This year's theme was News Whores and Canker Sores.
Mice competing this year included Fluke Perry, John McCain Circling the Drain, Save the Queers - Pence is Here, Colonel Lingis - It's Finger Lickin' Good, Prince Harry's L'il Red Berries, Cosby Go From Jello to Jizz Ho, Are White Rats Privileged, and Shoot Beavers Not Rats.
