Work at New Kenton County Building Construction to Impact Highway Traffic
There will be some disruption to traffic in Covington in the coming days, some due in part to the ongoing construction of the new Kenton County Administration Building, the former Bavarian Brewing building on Simon Kenton Way.
Starting Monday at 9 p.m., the 4th Street entrance ramp to I-71/75 southbound will be closed so that traffic loops can be installed. Ramp and lane closures will be removed by 5 a.m. The work is expected to take place Monday through Wednesday.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, during the hours of 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., Duke Energy will perform a rolling roadblock to complete utility work for the new Kenton County Administration Building on Simon Kenton Way. The work will impact I-75 on both sides of the Ohio River.
