8 from NKY Receive Appointments by Governor to State Boards, Commissions

Governor Matt Bevin has made the following appointments of Northern Kentuckians to state boards and commissions:

Christopher Robert Gephart, of Ft. Wright, has been appointed as a member of the State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. He will represent land surveyors and serve until January 1, 2023.

The State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors regulates and controls the licensing and conduct of engineers and land surveyors within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 

Anne Marie Raispis, of Crescent Springs, has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Early Intervention System Interagency Coordinating Council. Raispis, a physical therapist, will represent public/private providers and serve until April 20, 2020.

The Kentucky Early Intervention System Interagency Coordinating Council advises the Cabinet for Health and Family Services on the development and implementation of the Kentucky Early Intervention System with the goal to maximize the potential of infants and toddlers having, or at risk of having, developmental delays.

Kelly Preston, of Hebron, has been appointed as a member of the Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors. She is director of Behind the Badge and will represent citizens-at-large for a term that expires on July 16, 2020.

The Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors administers and enforces the statutory authority and monitors the needs of the consuming public. The Board examines and certifies all eligible candidates for entry into the profession of Alcohol and Drug Counseling and recommends appropriate changes in the law to assure fairness and equality.

Alberta Rarrieck, of Williamstown, has been appointed as a member of the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Nominating Commission. She is a contractor and will serve a term that expires April 15, 2022.

The Bluegrass Community and Technical College Nominating Commission is responsible for submitting a list of qualified applicants to the governor when a vacancy occurs on the college’s Board of Directors.

Kenneth C. Moellman Jr., of Foster, Stacie Alane Earl, of Florence, Mark Hunter, of Independence, and Jan Kathryn Skavdahl, of Crescent Springs, have been appointed as members of the Gateway Community and Technical College Nominating Commission.

  • Moellman is a business consultant. He will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2022
  • Earl is a massage therapist. She will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2020
  • Hunter is a business owner. He will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2023
  • Skavdahl is a nursing instructor. She will serve for a term expiring April 15, 2023
