Free Lunches for Youth to Be Available at Kenton Library Branches
The Kenton County Public Library will offer lunch to local youth this summer.
The library partnered with three local school districts in the effort, which is in its sixth year at the Erlanger branch, and fourth year at Covington and Independence branches.
Funding for the program comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. No library funds are used.
The meals are prepared by the food service teams at the partnering school districts.
Lunch is free for all youth 18 and younger. Adults 19 and older can purchase a meal for a small fee. There is no income verification, ID check, or paperwork involved.
Lunches are served every Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Erlanger Branch, from June 3 through July 26. Beginning June 10 through July 26,, lunches are served at the Covington Branch every Monday through Friday from Noon until 1:00 p.m. At the Durr Branch, lunches are available on Fridays from Noon until 1:00 p.m, beginning Friday, June 14 through Friday, August 2.
