Project Linus Has New Northern Kentucky Chapter
The national organization known for crafting blankets for children in need now has a Northern Kentucky chapter.
Project Linus will serve eight Northern Kentucky counties.
The organization creates and distributes blankets for a child struggling with serious illness, poverty, trauma, or a natural disaster.
The new local chapter is looking for volunteers to join in the effort, and notes that interested people don't have to know how to quilt or sew.
Others can donate new fabric, fleece, yarn, spools of thread, batting, fabric scissors, and other items, a news release said.
For more details, the Northern Kentucky chapter has a new website.
Chapter coordinator Maria Jackson is also available via email.
