Storms Damage, Close NKY Roadways
Severe weather hammered Northern Kentucky overnight and damaged and/or flooded multiple local roadways. It also knocked out power to thousands of Duke Energy customers.
Among the spots worst hit is Sleepy Hollow Road in Ludlow.
The police department there said that the road would be closed indefinitely between Adela Avenue and Old Montague Road. A Facebook post from the police showed water on a heavily damaged roadway.
Meanwhile, a landslide on Licking Pike (KY 9) in Wilder has closed that stretch of roadway near Bobby Mackie's nightclub.
The Wilder Fire Department reported that the landslide blocked all lanes and that the roadway is closed from Steel Plant Road to the Newport city limits.
