$1 Million Powerball Winner Sold in Florence
A ticket sold in Florence won $1 million in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing.
The Kentucky lottery announced that the winning ticket was sold in Florence, but did not identify the store. That information will be released following a security process, the lottery said in a news release.
The winning numbers were: 1-5-16-22-54 and the Powerball was 24. The winner matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball.
The retailer will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
Whoever purchased the winner has 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize. Lottery officials encouraged the winner to sign the back of the winning ticket.
No one has come forward as of 9 a.m. Thursday.
No one matched all five white balls and the Powerball so Saturday night’s jackpot is an estimated $137 million.
