Man Arrested in Dayton After 6-Hour Standoff
A man was arrested early Monday morning after an hours-long standoff with Dayton Police and SWAT team members.
Officers responded to 10th Avenue near Ervin Terrace late Sunday night where Charles McIntyre, 34, allegedly became part of an altercation with neighbors and others who were attending a party at a home there.
Police said McIntyre retrieved a gun and began to fire at another house.
Roughly twenty shell casings were found at the scene, police said.
No one was hurt.
McIntyre refused to surrender to police until between 3 and 4 a.m. Monday.
He is now lodged in the Campbell County Detention Center facing three counts of first degree wanton endangerment.
McIntyre is expected to be arraigned in Campbell District Court on Monday morning.
No bond amount was posted.
