23rd Annual Fairfield Avenue Mile Set for Saturday
The 23rd annual Fairfield Avenue Mile is set for Saturday, July 13 in Bellevue.
It starts at 9 a.m.
Race day registration begins at 8 a.m. with a packet pick-up/expo on Thursday, July 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Bellevue Vets.
The annual event benefits scholarships for student athletes in Northern Kentucky to attend Fellowship of Christian Athletes camps each summer.
Over 500 high school and middle school students attended FCA's Kentucky wide Leadership Camp at Campbellsville University last summer.
The first Fairfield Avenue Mile was organized by Marty and Bobbie Mayer in 1996. The Mayers were teachers at Bellevue High School where Marty coached track and field.
Registration begins at the Frisch's restaurant parking lot (100 Landmark Dr., Bellevue). The one-mile race begins in front of Frisch's and ends on Van Voast Avenue near the Callahan Center.

A brief awards ceremony will follow the race.
The top male and female finisher in each race will receive a medal, and the first stroller and dog to finish will also be awarded medals.
