Villa Madonna, Campbell County Make List of Most Challenging Schools

Two Northern Kentucky Schools were included on the national list of the most challenging schools in the United States.

The Jay Mathews Challenge Index is published each year by The Washington Post and Newsweek

The list ranks high schools on the number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or Cambridge tests given each year, divided by the number of seniors who graduated that year.

Villa Madonna Academy, in Villa Hills, was ranked 601 in the country while Campbell County High School, in Alexandria, was ranked 1,031 in the nation.

Only one other Kentucky school, duPont Manual in Louisville, made the list at number 130.
