Kenton County FOP Seeks to Cram the Cruiser with School Supplies
The Kenton County Police Department's Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 44 will host its annual Cram the Cruiser event to collect school supplies next week.
The event is set to take place in the parking lot of the Kroger store in Independence where donations will be accepted on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., benefitting the Marge Schott-Unnewehr Boys & Girls Club and the Tichenor Boys & Girls Club.
The lodge is hoping to collect a variety of supplies like highlighters, crayons, pencil boxes, glue sticks, #2 lead pencils, pens, dry erase washable markers, three-ring binders, dividers, notebooks, folders, 3x5 index cards, loose-leaf paper, backpacks, tissue boxes, paper towers, and hand sanitizer.
“To enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens,” the lodge said in a news release. "
