NKU Business Students Win National Awards

Students from Northern Kentucky University's Haile/US Bank College of Business won more than a dozen awards at the 2019 National Leadership Conference in San Antonio.

NKU's chapter of Phi Beta Lamba (PBL) won three first-place trophies and eleven other national awards.

Around 2,000 students from across the country participated.

The conference provides college students with the opportunity to develop leadership and professional skills and to compete academically with real-world scenarios across business disciplines. NKU’s group of nine qualified for nationals by finishing top three in their event at the Kentucky State Leadership Conference in April.

“Our team is continuously improving year after year. Before the 2019 conference, we never finished higher than fourth place at the national level. Now after five straight years of competing, NKU is known for having some of the best business students in the nation,” said Emily Kuderer, NKU’s chapter president. “This is the highest achievement for a PBL member. I’m thankful for our amazing faculty’s commitment in preparing us for the most complicated business problems.”
