Newport to Cut Ribbon on Three New Red Bike Stations
Three new Red Bike stations are set to open in Newport.
The Cincinnati-based bike-sharing organization is expanding in Newport with partial funding from a federal transportation grant.
A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Friday, August 9 at 3:30 p.m. at the Bernadette Watkins Park at West Sixth and Patterson Streets!
New stations will be found at the city building (10th and Monmouth streets), the Newport branch of the Campbell County Public Library (901 East Sixth St.), and Bernadette Watkins Park.
Previously, Red Bike stations were located at Sixth and Washington streets, Newport on the Levee (where there are two), and the 700 block of Monmouth Street.
The two Newport on the Levee locations consistently rank among the most used in the entire system.
