Kenton Library Partners with New Ignite School
The new Ignite Institute in Erlanger, which offers STEAM-centric education for area high school students, is lacking one traditional component of a school: a library.
The Kenton County Library is partnering with the school, which opened its doors for the first time this week, to offer services and resources.
All students at Ignite will have access to four interns serving as liaisons between the school and the library.
Four Ignite seniors are working as interns with the library to help communicate and implement library services at the school. The students were trained on library services such as Overdrive, Hoopla, various databases, library cards, how to search for materials, and more earlier this month. The student interns will be able to assist Ignite staff and students with Library services.
All Ignite Institute scholars and staff are encouraged to sign up for a library card so that they can utilize all services.
