Beechwood Schools Close for Threat Investigation
Beechwood Independent Schools are closed Friday while Ft. Mitchell Police investigate a threatening message reportedly found in a school bathroom.
In social media posts, the school district referred families to an email sent to them explaining the reason for the closure.
Beechwood opened for the new school year on Wednesday. The reported threat was discovered Thursday night.
Road work impacted the return earlier this week as multiple projects continue.
The Enquirer reported that Superintendent Mike Stacy said in his message to families that there was no direct threat made against the schools or a specific student, but classes would be canceled to give police time to investigate.
